May 2013 V5 I5
This month brings a new addition to TSV - Lynn’s Prints. This designer studio has some lovely charts. A designer interview for Diane Graebner has also been added in the Designer Interview scroll in the library of the Village. I know we all enjoy the designer participation and hopefully we will have more celebrity sightings in the Village in the future! Always fun to see them!
Diane Graebner is the artist for Lynn’s Prints cross stitch designs. With over 165 cross stitch charts released based on her art, you may find it interesting that she is not a stitcher. It is very fortunate for those of us who stitch that her lovely art has been converted to charts. Amish children are the primary theme for her work. These have an interesting look all their own and a loving, kind spirit that is portrayed through them. If you are just discovering the designs from Lynn’s Prints, it may be difficult for you to choose one to stitch. It was difficult to choose just one for the cover of the newsletter. So, I hope that those I selected give you an impression of the beautiful choices that are offered on Diane’s web site. I hope that you will visit it often as she will have several new designs coming out soon!
There were two chances to receive an “orphan” fabric from Picture This Plus in April. Both required entrants to go to the main village and find our new resident mermaid and report back that she is stitching a seahorse. The recipients are: Sandy L., in MT Judith H., in LA Monika P., CO., will receive this month’s Birthday prize
