Start of My BA Project
Quite some time ago, I had the idea to stitch a large project to hang above my fireplace mantel. I was fortunate to have a frame shop nearby that was very familiar with the framing of needlework and was reasonably priced. I determined the size of frame I would need and had one made ready for the stitched piece. I did not get the project laid out. I knew I wanted to incorporate the Rosewood Manor chart "Autumn Quakers" and use that color palette. That was all I had.
Couple of years later, I have moved. One of the "finds" while packing and unpacking was the frame and foam core for my big a&& project of my fantasy. So, I located "Autumn Quakers" and began searching through my stash to find pieces to put together with it that would create what I call a "compilation sampler". I made several of these in the 80s (wish I had pictures).
The good thing about the delay of the project is that I no longer have a fireplace which I measured for and would use the frame in the landscape orientation. Now I want it turned so that the long measurement of the frame is vertical.
Here is a first draft of what I intent to stitch. I have chosen the fabric and have stitched most of the house on the top.
