This blog represents the journey of the Village Stitcher.  The majority of the posts before 9/2022 are excerpts from the corresponding newsletter.  All the newsletters are posted on The Stitchers' Village and many of them contain a complimentary cross stitch chart.  The intent of compiling these to a blog is to make it easier to post comments and keep in touch.  See the full newsletter archive HERE

With the first design of Moonflower Designs, I joined a wonderful community of needlework artists.  In 2010, with the acquisition of The Stitchers' Village, the creation of a needlework community began.  This has been a journey unto itself, as the technology has changed dramatically through the years.  The effort to maintain a safe, reliable platform has made it necessary to re-start the community several times.  Unfortunately, that and the competing social platforms have caused a decrease in the traffic on The Stitchers' Village and made the future uncertain.  Hopefully, you have been one of the many members who have met and acquired friends from around the world through TSV.  It has been wonderful to see beautiful needlework projects created by members and get to know many members personally.  Thank you for joining me on this journey.
