August 2010
July was gone in a flash. We were away on vacation for the better portion of it and are now getting back to real life. Designers are starting to release Halloween designs which are always fun. We will have to keep an eye out for them as they are out!
Stitches N Things, shop # 23 of The Stitchers Village, is our August Shoppe Focus. Deb Koch is the owner of the counted cross-stitch shop located in Fenton, MI. Established in May of 1992, Stitches N Things is a 'real' brick and mortar needlework shop, located in the southern middle part of Michigan. The shop moved to its current location and opened in May 2007. The shop is full of everything from fibers and fabrics to embellishments and frames. They carry a wide variety of fabrics and are happy to custom cut to size. Deb, Debbie, Kathy and LouAnn are your friendly assistants at Stitches N Things and are happy to help with any questions you may have. The shop specializes in Counted Cross Stitch, but also offers Russian Punch Needle, Hardanger and advanced counted thread technique charts, and Needle Felting.
July Competition Winner: Julie Thompson will receive a $50
gift certificate From The Salty Yarns to be used for merchandise in their shop.
A color contest is included in this month's newsletter
