Stitchers Village Community
I also visited the FB page for TSV. I am not a frequent user there since I was bullied a few years back and found that the platform does not care. I had to delete my page temporarily and block the person. FB would not delete posts or anything. I mention this because, during my visit, I was very surprised at the amount of political postings in the needlework discussions. Not that I don’t get that people have opinions, I was seeking needlework topics and apparently my absence also reduced the amount of relevant posts to my interests.
My current stitching is “Needleworker’s Sampler” from With Thy Needle and Thread (almost done) and “Stitch Lovely Floral Sewing Machine” from Rubin Pickens Cross Stitch. Marilyn from Picture This Plus attended market and brought this designer to my attention. She also does quilt fabric and has cross stitch kits which include fabric for finishing. I also have her “Pine Crossing” kit.
What project(s) are you stitching?

But sitting on my rear end, stitching and talking to the public is what I like to do. Some events embroidery is not appropriate to (such as battle reenactments as opposed to local community based events) I do hand sewing . Mostly our clothing (husband and me) is machine stitched, but there is generally some repair or another for me to work at events.
We have an event this coming weekend and I plan to do embroidery - if I don't get stuck as I did at our last event - giving tours of our headquarters. Husband will be bringing his small, handheld loom and demonstrating weaving
